Buffalo Flash Announce New Venue for Home Matches

Buffalo, NY -The Buffalo Flash looks to begin the 2010 season in May playing their home matches at a new venue. The Flash will play at The Rev. James M. Demske, S.J. Sports Complex also known as Demske Sports Complex located at Canisius College.

Even though the Buffalo Flash played their home matches at Orchard Park High School in their inaugural season, posting a 6-2 record at home including a playoff win, they move to a new venue this upcoming season. The Quakers of Orchard Park were great hosts and the Flash would like to thank them for all their efforts. New York State law does not permit professional franchise to sell anything on public school grounds. This prevented the Flash from selling merchandise and game tickets. This new venue will also allow our fans more accessible parking for matches while having an easier time getting to the match. The Flash recognizes that their fan support was one of a kind within the conference and that the fans are due credit to their success last season. We hope that our fans will continue to show their support by making the trip to our new home venue at Demske Sports Complex.

Demske Sports Complex, located at Canisius College behind the Koessler Athletic Center on Main Street in North Buffalo, is an A-turf multi-use complex that serves as home to the Golden Griffin athletic teams. In 2008, Demske installed a new synthetic turf which happens to be the same type of turf that the Flash practices on at Sahlen's Sports Park. This 1,000 seating grandstand also has locker room in the neighboring Koessler Athletic Center.

•  1-90 West to Exit 51W (NY 33 West)
•  NY 33 West and to NY 198 West

• Follow the signs for NY 33 West as you exit the airport.
• NY 33 West approximately 5 miles and exit at NY 198 West.
• NY 198 West for a very short distance to the Main Street Exit (NY 5).
• At Stop sign, turn left (onto Kensington Avenue)
• At light, turn left (onto Main Street)
• At 3rd light, turn left (onto Delavan)  -- Demske will be located on right

• After proceeding through Customs, turn right at the traffic signal onto South Rainbow Blvd. (NY 384 South).
• Follow the signs to Robert Moses State Parkway South
   At the fifth traffic signal, turn right onto Quay St.
•  Proceed through next traffic signal and merge left onto the Robert Moses State Parkway South.
• Robert Moses State Parkway to I-190 South.
• I-190 South to Exit 11 (NY 198 East).
• NY 198 East and to Main Street (NY 5).
• Turn right onto Main Street.
• At 3rd light, turn left (onto Delavan)  -- Demske will be located on right
  
  Via The Peace Bridge
  (From Fort Erie, Welland, Niagara Falls, St. Catharine's, Hamilton, Toronto, London Detroit, MI):
• After proceeding through U.S. Customs, merge to the left and follow the signs for I-190 North (Niagara Falls).
• At the traffic signal, merge right onto Porter Ave. Immediately merge right onto I-190 North.
• I-190 North to Exit 11 (NY 198 East).
• NY 198 East and to Main Street (NY 5).
• Turn right onto Main Street.
• At 3rd light, turn left (onto Delavan)  -- Demske will be located on right
